Chicago Grilled Tuna Sandwich Recipe

Yield: 4 servings

The bold flavors of Chicago kick up the flavor on fresh grilled tuna.


  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Weber® Chicago Steak® Seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried chives
  • 4 tuna fillets, 1 inch thick
  • Kaiser rolls
  • Favorite toppings: sliced tomatoes, leaf lettuce and pickles


  1. Combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, seasoning and chives in a resealable plastic bag. Add tuna.
  2. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Remove tuna from marinade; discard marinade.
  4. Grill over direct high heat, turning once, for 5-10 minutes, until tuna reaches desired doneness.
  5. Add additional steak seasoning, if desired.
  6. Grill rolls until lightly toasted.
  7. Serve tuna on toasted bun with desired toppings.
