Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Weber® Chicago Steak® Seasoning, divided
- 1 baguette, cut into ½-inch slices
- 1 New York strip steak, 10–12 oz and ¾ to 1 inch thick
- Goat cheese (or your desired spreadable cheese)
- 1 jar pesto, 4 oz
- Cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)

Directions
- Bring steak to room temperature: Remove steak from the refrigerator 30 minutes before grilling to allow it to come to room temperature. This ensures even cooking.
- Prepare grill: Preheat grill to high heat, 450°F.
- Season and toast baguette: In a small bowl, mix olive oil with a pinch of Weber® Chicago Steak® Seasoning. Brush both sides of the baguette slices with the seasoned oil. Place slices directly on the grill and toast for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden and crisp. Remove from the grill and spread goat cheese on each slice.
- Grill and rest steak: Season the steak generously with Weber® Chicago Steak® Seasoning. Place the steak on the grill and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 120°F for medium-rare. Adjust for desired doneness. Remove steak from the grill and let rest for 5–10 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
- Assemble steak bites: Slice the rested steak into thin strips. Top each goat cheese-coated baguette slice with a strip of steak. Add a dollop of pesto and garnish with cherry tomatoes, if using. Sprinkle with a pinch of Weber® Chicago Steak® Seasoning for added flavor.
