Jalapeno Popper Burger Recipe

Yield: 5 burgers

Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 jalapeños, finely diced
  • 1/2 C shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 C shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 5 strips of bacon, cooked & crumbled
  • Weber’s Jalapeños Popper seasoning
  • 1 1/2 lbs of lean ground beef
  • 5 burger buns

Directions

1. Preheat grill to about 425 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese and crumbled bacon. Add a generous amount of Weber’s Jalapeno Popper seasoning and with a spoon mix together everything until full incorporated.

2. Evenly divide the ground beef into 10 balls and flatten into 1/4” thick patties. Spoon about 1-2 tbsps of the cream cheese filling onto the center of 5 patties then use the other patty to enclose the filling. Pinch the edges of the two patties together to seal and reshape into a disc once sealed.

3. Once the patties are formed, season both sides of the patties to your desire and place on grill. Cook each side for about 5-7 minutes. Remove patties and toast buns for about 2 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!
