Ingredients
- Candied Bacon
- 8 strips bacon
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp Weber® Tailgate Seasoning
- Maple Aioli
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp Weber® Tailgate Seasoning
- Burger
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp Weber® Tailgate Seasoning, divided
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs
- 4 English muffins, toasted
- Toppings
- 1 avocado, smashed
- Maple aioli
This indulgent burger takes breakfast to the next level with sweet and savory candied bacon, juicy beef patties seasoned with Weber® Tailgate Seasoning, creamy smashed avocado, and a perfectly fried egg. Finished with a drizzle of maple aioli, it’s all nestled between toasted English muffins for the ultimate breakfast-inspired treat!
Directions
- Make Candied Bacon: Preheat oven to 400°F. Place bacon strips on a foil-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with brown sugar and Weber® Tailgate Seasoning, pressing the mixture into the bacon. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until deep brown and caramelized. Let cool on a wire rack.
- Prepare Maple Aioli: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, maple syrup, and Weber® Tailgate Seasoning. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Preheat Grill: Preheat grill to 400°F.
- Prepare and Cook Burgers: Divide ground beef into four equal portions and shape into patties. Season all over with Weber® Tailgate Seasoning. Grill for 3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Add cheddar cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Fry Eggs: While the burgers cook, heat a griddle or skillet on the grill. Crack eggs onto the griddle, season with Weber® Tailgate Seasoning, and cook for 2–3 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny.
- Assemble Burgers: Spread smashed avocado on the bottom half of each toasted English muffin. Layer with the burger patty, candied bacon, and fried egg. Spread maple aioli on the top half of the muffin and place on top. Serve immediately.
Tips & Tricks
- For extra crispy bacon, place a cooling rack on the baking sheet and lay the bacon strips on top. This allows the fat to drip off, ensuring perfectly caramelized bacon every time.
