Cowboy Pig Shots Recipe

These tasty Cowboy Pig Shots are full of smoky pork flavor and topped off with spicy cream cheese.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces whipped cream cheese, room temperature
  • 8 slices thick cut bacon
  • 1 package summer sausage
  • 1/4 cup Weber Cowboy Seasoning Rub

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and seasoning, place into a plastic bag, then set in the freezer for 30 minutes until it firms up
  2. Cut the sausage into rings, and the bacon strips in half vertically
  3. Wrap and roll one of the sausage pieces with bacon, and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Squeeze a bit of the cream cheese mixture on top of the sausage. Place on a cast iron skillet side by side.
  5. Smoke at 350 for about 35 to 45 minutes, or until bacon has browned well.
