Ingredients
- 2 tbsp honey
- Juice of 1 navel orange
- 2 navel oranges, cut into triangles
- 24 jumbo sea scallops (about 2 lbs)
- ¼ cup Weber® Honey Garlic Rub, divided
- 8 bamboo skewers, soaked in water
Sweet, tangy, and savory scallops paired with juicy orange slices, seasoned with Weber® Honey Garlic Rub, and grilled to perfection for a vibrant and flavorful dish.
Directions
- Prepare grill: Preheat grill to medium-high heat, 375°F–425°F. Clean and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Prepare sauce: In a small bowl, mix honey, orange juice, and half of the Weber® Honey Garlic Rub until well combined. Set aside.
- Prepare scallops and skewers: Thread scallops and orange triangles alternately onto the soaked bamboo skewers. Sprinkle the skewers with the remaining Weber® Honey Garlic Rub.
- Grill skewers: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2 minutes on each side, or until the scallops are opaque throughout.
- Brush the scallops with the honey-orange sauce and cook for an additional 30–60 seconds per side to caramelize the glaze.
- Serve: Remove skewers from the grill and serve immediately. Enjoy the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors!

- Use metal skewers instead of bamboo for better heat conduction and to eliminate the need for soaking.
