Mediterranean Lamb Burger Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1lb ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup of feta cheese, plus more for topping
  • 1 tbsp Weber Roasted Garlic and Herb seasoning
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 4 pita breads
  • tzatziki sauce, for serving
  • cherry tomatoes, halved
  • mini cucumbers, halved lengthwise and cut into half moons
  • arugula
  • pickled onions

Directions

  1. Preheat grill with a flat top griddle on it to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a big bowl mix together ground lamb, feta, Weber Roasted Garlic and Herb seasoning and cumin. Divide the mixture into 4 equal balls.
  3. Once grill is hot, place one ground lamb ball mixture on griddle, place one pita bread on top and smash using a spatula or a burger press until flat. Let the pressed lamb mixture cook for about 5-6 minutes or until crispy then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Repeat this until all the lamb mixture is used.
  4. Top with tzatziki sauce, cherry tomatoes, mini cucumbers arugula, pickled onions, and more feta.
