Zesty Lemon Shrimp Tacos Recipe

Enjoy Shrimp Tacos seasoned boldly with Weber Zesty Lemon and Chophouse Butter, then prepared to perfection in cast iron with red onion, garlic and lemon. Dressed with avocado cream, a splash of hot sauce, cotija cheese and fresh herbs, then all loaded into a toasted white corn tortillas. Recipe by @livefirerepublic


Shrimp Taco:

  • 2 lbs shrimp 8-12ct, deveined
  • Olive oil
  • Weber Zesty Lemon Seasoning
  • Weber Chophouse Butter Seasoning
  • 1 small red onion, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Hot sauce
  • Cotija cheese, crumbled
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • White corn tortillas, toasted over the fire or burner


Avocado crème:

  • 2 ripe avocados, pitted and diced
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • Juice and zest of 2 small lemons
  • Kosher salt, to taste


  1. Marinate shrimp in olive oil and 1:1 combination of Weber Zesty Lemon and Chophouse Butter, for a few hours, up to overnight.
  2. Sauté in a cast iron pan with onion, garlic and lemon, until just cooked through. Remove from heat, season additionally to taste, and set aside.
  3. Toast tortillas. Dress tacos and devour!


Avocado crème directions:

  1. Puree all items in a food processor. Thin with water, as needed. Serve immediately.
