Ingredients

  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp bourbon or apple juice
  • 3 tbsp Weber® KC BBQ Rub, divided
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
This recipe combines the sweet, smoky flavors of maple syrup and bourbon with the bold spices of Weber® KC BBQ Rub for a perfectly grilled, flavorful chicken dish. Great for backyard BBQs or weeknight dinners!

Directions

  1. Preheat: Preheat grill to medium direct heat 350°F –400°F.
  2. Glaze: Combine in a sauce pan over medium-high heat maple syrup, butter, bourbon (or apple juice), and 1 tbsp Weber® KC BBQ Rub. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce medium and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Chicken: Generously coat both sides of the chicken breasts with 2 tbsp Weber® KC BBQ Rub. Press the rub into the meat to ensure even coverage.
  4. Place the chicken on the preheated grill. Cook for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. During the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush the prepared maple bourbon glaze over the chicken, turning frequently to caramelize the glaze without burning.
  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Tips & Tricks
