  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz crumbled feta cheese
  • 3 dashes Tabasco sauce, or more to taste
  • 8 sun-dried tomatoes in oil, sliced
  • 1 cup red onion, thin slivers
  • 4 hard rolls or your favorite buns
A Mediterranean-style burger that's full of flavor.

Directions

  1. Prepare Patties: In a large bowl, mix ground lamb with ¼ cup Weber® Sweet & Thick Original BBQ Sauce and half the onion soup mix.
  2. Form into 4 equal-sized patties and brush with olive oil. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to let flavors develop.
  3. Make Spread: In a medium bowl, combine remaining onion soup mix, cream cheese, feta cheese, 1 tbsp Weber® Sweet & Thick Original BBQ Sauce, Tabasco sauce, and sun-dried tomatoes.
  4. Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours.
  5. Preheat Grill: Preheat grill to medium heat (350°F–400°F).
  6. Grill Burgers: Remove patties and spread from the refrigerator just before grilling.
  7. Grill patties over direct medium heat for 8–10 minutes, turning once halfway through, until cooked through and no longer pink.
  8. Transfer burgers to a clean platter to rest.
  9. Toast Buns: Place buns on the grill and toast for 1–2 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  10. Assemble Burgers: Place a grilled lamb patty on the bottom half of each bun.
  11. Top with a dollop of feta spread and red onion slivers.
  12. Finish with the top bun and serve immediately.

Tips & Tricks

  • Allowing the lamb patties rest at room temperature for 15–20 minutes after removing them from the refrigerator before grilling. This helps the meat cook more evenly and retain its moisture.
