Total Time: 25 Minutes
Yield: 4 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ pounds rib eye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons Buffalo Trace Whiskey Flavored Seasoning, divided
  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green pepper, thinly sliced
  • 8 thin slices swiss or provolone cheese
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 hero rolls

Directions

  1. Toss sliced rib eye with 1 tablespoon Buffalo Trace Whiskey Flavored Seasoning until evenly coated; set aside.
  2. Cook bacon in skillet until almost crisp, turning once.  Sprinkle tops of bacon slices with 1 tablespoon Buffalo Trace Whiskey Flavored Seasoning.  Cook one minute or until just crisp.  Remove and set aside.
  3. Drain all but 2 tablespoons bacon drippings from skillet.  Add onion and cook 3 minutes or until softened.  Add pepper and cook 4 minutes or until tender and beginning to brown.  Remove and set aside.
  4. Add steak to skillet and cook over medium-high heat until just done.  Return vegetables to skillet and stir to combine.  Top mixture with cheese slices and cook covered 1 minute or until cheese just begins to melt.
  5. Combine mayonnaise with remaining Buffalo Trace Whiskey Flavored Seasoning.  Brush mayonnaise mixture on one side of hero roll. Top roll with bacon and steak mixture.
