- Make Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup of the cheese, onion, and jalapeño.
- Form Patties: Divide the ground chuck into 8 equal portions, each about 5 inches in diameter.
- Place an equal amount of the cheese mixture on 4 patties.
- Top each with a second patty, sealing the edges tightly to encase the cheese mixture.
- Season both sides of the patties evenly with Weber® Gourmet Burger™ Seasoning.
- Grill Burgers: Brush the cooking grates clean.
- Grill the patties over direct high heat, lid closed as much as possible, for 8–10 minutes, turning once or twice, until cooked to medium.
- Toast Buns: During the last minute of grilling, toast the buns, cut sides down, over direct heat until lightly browned.
- Assemble and Serve: Place each patty on a toasted bun and add your favorite burger toppings. Serve immediately.
Tips & Tricks
- To ensure the cheese stays sealed inside the patties, press the edges firmly and slightly overlap the bottom patty over the top.
