Ingredients
- 20 large white button mushrooms
- 8 oz sausage, casings removed
- 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- ¼ cup green onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp Weber® Buffalo Trace™ Whiskey Flavored Seasoning
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
These savory stuffed mushrooms are loaded with sausage, spinach, and a bold kick of Weber® Buffalo Trace™ Whiskey Flavored Seasoning. Perfect for appetizers or party platters, they’re sure to impress!
Directions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Mushrooms: Remove the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop them. Keep the mushroom caps whole and set aside.
- Cook Filling: In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Add the chopped mushroom stems and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in the spinach and green onion, cooking for another 2 minutes or until heated through. Reduce heat to low and mix in the cream cheese until melted. Stir in the panko breadcrumbs and Weber® Buffalo Trace™ Whiskey Flavored Seasoning until well combined.
- Stuff and Bake: Arrange the mushroom caps on the prepared baking sheet. Fill each cap with the sausage mixture, packing it tightly. Bake for 15 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender.
- Serve: Transfer to a serving platter and enjoy warm. These stuffed mushrooms make the perfect bite-sized appetizer!

- For an extra crispy topping, sprinkle additional panko breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter on top of the stuffed mushrooms before baking.
