Ingredients
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- ¼ cup fig spread
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- ½ cup crumbled blue cheese or goat cheese
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 tbsp Weber® Fireball™ Whiskey Flavored Seasoning
These Crispy Fireball™ Spiced Pinwheels are a delightful mix of sweet, savory, and bold flavors wrapped in buttery, flaky pastry—an irresistible treat for any gathering!
Directions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare Puff Pastry: Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured work surface. Roll it out into a 12” x 10” rectangle. Spread the fig spread evenly over the surface, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts and crumbled cheese.
- Roll and Slice: Starting from one long edge, roll the pastry tightly into a jelly roll. Chill the roll in the freezer for 10–15 minutes for easier slicing. Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 20 (½-inch) slices. Arrange the slices, cut side down, on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them slightly apart.
- Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the pinwheels are puffed and golden brown.
- Brush and Serve: Combine melted butter and Weber® Fireball™ Whiskey Flavored Seasoning in a small bowl. Brush the mixture over the tops of the warm pinwheels. Serve immediately, or let cool to room temperature before serving.
