Ingredients
- BBQ Mayonnaise
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp Weber® Sweet & Thick Original BBQ Sauce
- Burgers
- 1 ½ lb ground chuck (80% lean)
- 3 tbsp Weber® Gourmet Burger™ Seasoning
- 8 slices bacon
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- 4 burger buns
- ¼ cup Weber® Sweet & Thick Original BBQ Sauce
- 4 slices onion
- Oil for brushing
A classic grilled burger elevated with crispy bacon, melted pepper jack cheese, smoky grilled onions, and a tangy BBQ mayonnaise made with Weber® Sweet & Thick Original BBQ Sauce, perfectly seasoned with Weber® Gourmet Burger™ Seasoning for bold, irresistible flavor.
Directions
- BBQ mayonnaise: Combine mayonnaise and 3 tbsp Weber® Sweet & Thick Original BBQ Sauce in a small bowl.
- Chill until ready to serve.
- Prepare grill: Preheat grill to medium heat 350°F–400°F. Brush grill grates clean and lightly oil.
- Prepare patties: Divide the ground chuck into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 5 inches in diameter.
- Season both sides of each patty with Weber® Gourmet Burger™ Seasoning.
- Grill bacon: Place bacon strips directly on the grill grates over medium heat.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, turning as needed, until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Grill onions: Brush onion slices with oil. Place directly on the grill grates over medium heat.
- Grill for 2–3 minutes per side, or until softened and slightly charred. Remove and set aside.
- Grill patties: Increase grill to high heat 450°F–550°F.
- Brush grill grates with oil to prevent sticking.
- Grill patties over direct high heat for 4–5 minutes per side, flipping once, until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and toast the buns on the grill, cut side down, until lightly browned.
- Assemble burgers: Spread BBQ mayonnaise on the bottom bun. Layer with a grilled patty, bacon, onion, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce. Cover with the top bun.
- Serve: Serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as grilled corn or potato wedges, for the ultimate BBQ experience!
Tips & Tricks
- For extra smoky flavor, brush the onion slices and burger patties lightly with Weber® Sweet & Thick Original BBQ Sauce during the last minute of grilling.
